The Hurricanes beat the Brumbies by 26 points to 5 in a pre-season trial match held at Porirua on Friday.
The Hurricanes outscored the Brumbies by four tries to one.
The Hurricanes led 4-0 at halftime and the forwards scored their second half tries as lock Jason Eaton and hooker Dane Coles crossed the whitewash.
The Brumbies forwards also got over the line as lock Sitaleki Timani scored their only try.
Making his Hurricanes debut Aaron Cruden impressed with an early break and then landed two conversions from two attempts.
Willie Ripia landed one conversion before the break.
