Chiefs co-captain Craig Clarke will play Super Rugby for the Chiefs next year in 2013 after he re-signed with the Waikato franchise for another year.

In his fourth season with the side, the twenty-eight year lock describes his reasons for staying with the Chiefs as pretty simple.

"I am having too much fun to go anywhere. This is a great environment to work and play in, and one that I am thoroughly enjoying - so why move."

"Craig is incredibly hard working with great values, so his re-signing is good news for us and the fans," said coach Dave Rennie.

"Craig's professionalism, leadership and commitment, continue to make him a great asset to the Chiefs family."

Clarke is a former Hurricane, Crusader, 2002 New Zealand U19s and 2004 U21s (Junior All Blacks) World Cup winner.

He is the captain of Taranaki and picked up the Ranfurly Shield with his ITM Cup side last year.
