The Chiefs will play a mid-Super Rugby break friendly match against a Wasps XV from the Bay of Plenty and the Cavaliers XV from Counties Manukau on Wednesday 20 June at Rotorua International Stadium.

The tri-match will see the Wasps XV coached by Kevin Schuler and the Cavaliers XV coached by Tana Umaga play each other for a half a game before each playing another half against the Chiefs.

"It is an opportunity to get the team back together and have some match practice for the next stage of our season," Chiefs Assistant Coach Tom Coventry told Yahoo Sport.

"It is also good for us to connect with our Chiefs region and it also gives the players involved with the Wasps and the Cavaliers a chance to match up with our boys and put their hand up to play ITM Cup for their Provinces."

Entry to the match will be $2.00 and gates open at 2.45pm.
