The Hurricanes have re-signed two of their Super Rugby stars in Andre Taylor and Alapati Leiua for next year's Super Rugby season and beyond.

The twenty-four-year old prolific try-scorer, Andre Taylor has signed for a further two years and will play Super Rugby for the Hurricanes in the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

Taylor has been a lethal backline weapon for the Hurricanes this season with a commanding ten tries in 14 matches this year, including two against the Rebels.

"I'm thrilled to sign with the Hurricanes. I've really enjoyed this season and I'm looking forward to continuing to do the best I can for this team," Taylor says.

Samoan-born utility back, Leiua is another key signing for the franchise. He is now contracted for the 2013 season. Playing at wing, Leiua bagged a double against the Rebels in their last home game before the break.

"I'm excited to stay with the team. We have been going really well this year and I want to be a part of that next season," Leiua says.

Head Coach Mark Hammett is delighted with the re-signing of two instrumental talents for the Hurricanes.

"Andre has really hit his form this year and found himself a home in the backline. Alapati has continued to be a solid performer in both the wings and midfield. They are both young and hard-working guys so their commitment will add to the momentum we're building."
